This song was originally written for a female vocalist finalist in the late 1990's from the pre "Voice" & "American Idol" era called "Star Search". The show was hosted by Ed Mcmahon of the Tonite Show (Johnny Carson's side man).  The song is about a stranger (Jesus) who comes into her / him life and eventually changes it for the better. The story and chorus slowly evolve as  the "stranger" turns into a "Savior".
